(More customer reviews)I do like the fan however I was very disappointed when I received the fan from the seller with no blades. The description on Amazon clearly stated that the blades were included with the $200+ cost of the fan. I then received just the base of the fan so I contacted the seller who then told me that the blades were not inlcuded and I would have to pay for them or return the fan. I told then that the description on Amazon stated that the blades were included and therefor they should send me the blades gratis. We settled on a discounted price for the blades because I do like the fan and didn't want the inconvenience of returning the item, however I was disappointed with the seller and that they had still not updated the description of the item so potential purchasers would be aware that the blades are not included in this shipment or price.

Air Shadow Ceiling Fan With Fabric Shade Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this fan or lamp (Hubby and I can't decide what it is for sure) 6 months ago and I am SOOOOO happy! The fan blades fold up so you can't see them in case you don't want to clean the blades or if my mom comes over and she starts yelling at me to "Clean this house!" I put it over the bed in our bedroom even though hubby says the wind tickles his nose when he's sleeping. So I just extend one fan blade and turn it on and hubby doesn't notice! I only wish I could retract the lamp when I'm only using the fan but not the light. Maybe the people at the Fan Company can make that.

(More customer reviews)THe fan went together pretty easy and didn't cause any problems during the installation. The remote is great since we have the fan on one wall switch. It adds so much character to our family room. My only complaint are the light bulbs. The globes are too short for normal chandelier light bulbs and it took a while to find the right bulb. The only ones that fit are the round ones with the candelabra base. I couldn't find anywhere in the instruction manual where that was listed, which would have been nice.

Leviton ODS10-ID Decora Wall Switch Occupancy Sensor (120/277V rating), White Review

(More customer reviews)I installed one of these in my laundry room (which is located just inside the garage door in my house). Now, whenever we come home, we don't have the fumble for the light switch. I've also installed one in the room that my wife uses for her office for the same reasons.
This switch comes with three adjustments to customize it to your needs.
First, it has an ambient light adjustment so that you can tell it not to turn on if there is already sufficient light in the room. If you turn this setting all the way up, the switch will become a manual on, auto off switch that will only turn on when you push the button, but will turn off after it senses no motion for a set period of time.
Second, it has a sensitivity adjustment, which adjusts how far the sensor will look for motion.
Third, it has a duration adjustment to tell it how long it should wait with no motion before turning the light off.
It also has a red LED, which blinks whenever it detects motion, so you can tell how whether your movements are being detected or not.

24"belt Dr Whl House Fan Review

(More customer reviews)I do not own this particular model but if you do get a "whole house fan" then get a "Belt Driven" unit. It is so much quieter than any other model, especially the "direct drive" model.
The belt of the fan takes up approximately 75% of the vibration that is inherent in all fans. Where as, the direct drive is extremely noisy by comparison, because of the same vibration. (Has no noise dampening features.)
I would also make sure it is a "2 speed model with a timer and no less than a 1/3hp motor". The reason is, with the 2 speeds you can cool your home down slowly and quietly at night while sleeping or if you come home after being gone all day long and it is hot in there you can cool it down much more quickly with the high speed setting. Also, with the 1/3hp motor, it will last much longer than a 1/4hp motor. Yes, it burns a little more power but you will NOT have to replace the motor every two years or so with the larger motor.

One other important thing you should consider with this purchase is, the SHUTTER. You should get one that has the center blade "Stationary" or non-movable. The reason for this is: you will NOT HAVE TO CUT YOUR CEILING JOIST or TRUSS to install your shutter! Helps keep your home solid!

I called Litex and got a Sales Manager named David. He sounded very helpful but was a liar, promising to send a new wall control that was compatible. It's been three weeks and nothing. I've left FOUR voice messages for him and sent FOUR emails over the three weeks. Silence. He blew me off.
I will never buy one of their items again. If this fan breaks, I know they won't do anything about it. If you buy their items, you are on your own.

NuTone White 110 CFM 4" Ducting Bathroom Exhaust Fan Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great fan. At 1.5 sones, it is nicely quiet but actually moves the air in the room at the rate it is reported to. I installed this unit in a 300 cu. ft. bathroom and it clears all evidence of the smell following toilet use in 3 minutes flat. Additionally, it keeps the room free of steam build up during showers as well so no mold on the walls! When I flip the switch to turn it on, I am standing next to the entry door and I can feel the air being drawn into the room at the door's edge. Additionally, if I hold my hand in front of the light switch cover or outlet cover, I can feel air being drawn through those openings as well. That's right, even through the minor cracks at the sheetrock edges air is drawn in!!! And yet, it is very quiet. I am a builder and I recommend this fan all the time to many very pleased clients. One note, I usually try to vent this to the outside as directly as possible. Shorter vent runs nean more efficient operation. Also, smooth, ridgid vent lines will be slightly more efficient in allowing unfettered air movement than ribbed, flexible duct work.

I absolutely love these. I now own three sets; one in the living room and one in each bedroom. Each spot light is individually adjustable and they accept up to 60 watt candelabra bulbs. An added bonus is there are four options for the light bulbs: all four on, all four off, two adjacent bulbs on, or the opposite two adjacent bulbs on. The outside finish is a true matte black finish and looks great. Also comes with the proper sized wire nuts.
