This is a useful product for people wishing to have a different lighting system where recessed fixtures are installed, e.g. a pendant over an island. Available for 4", 5", and 6" cans, I used the 4" model. Installation is straightforward, however, I think the instructions should highlight some variations; in some cases it's easier to cut the incoming wires and splice to the new fixture, rather than try to use the screw-in adaptor. Also, I had to tap new hole in the mounting plate, as the existing holes were defective. Aside from these issues, it's a good product and I will use again.

(More customer reviews)I bought a duel florescent shop light with outlet plug for $15.00 for my garage. I ordered the Leviton pull chain switch for $2.00 + shipping. I then took the black power line in and spliced (twist caps) the switch in between it and the transformer. Use a 3/16 drill bit to make the opening and you have a pull switch for your light. Or, don't take 5-minutes of your time and spend $40.00 for the same shop light with pull switch. Your choice.

(More customer reviews)I bought this tool to cut duct outlets for high velocity AC systems I install from Unico. I have used the X-305 model for Airtec MV diffusers and this smaller size uses the same blades and has the same great build quality.
It is easy to adjust the size hole and I can use a cordless drill to cut holes where if I used a hole saw I would need to use a cord drill and an extension cord and worry about clean cuts and have all the dust and shavings to cleanup afterwards. I used it with the high speed steel blades to cut 20 holes in a 5/8" tongue and groove wood ceiling for 5 inch light cans in less than an hour. And I used an old 18 volt Milwaukee cordless drill that uses NiCad battery packs.
I even cut speaker holes in my boat using the tungsten carbide blades to cut holes through the gelcoat and fiberglass. For a tight fit I needed to make a 5-1/8" cutout for the waterproof speakers. Try to find a hole saw that is 5-1/8" - it does not exist.
The 7 inch diameter shield makes it easy to get the tool in tight spaces or close to the edge of a soffit or cabinet and also keeps the cutter perpendicular. I like that I can adjust how deep it cuts so I don't need to worry about cutting something hidden behind the wall or clipping a beam.
The storage case is very high quality, and much better than the cases with the tools I have bought. I like having everything I need in a single case, including spare blades.
I like to buy a tool that will last for many years of use and the Hole Pro hole cutters are that kind of tool. Everything about them is first class.

(More customer reviews)I am so disappointed in this. It is complete crap. As soon as I took this adorable, brightly colored cool little crab out of the bag, a claw broke off. I was sad, but nonetheless hung her up for the time being until at some future never-going-to-happen point in time I may want to superglue her claw back on. Later that very same day, I tugged on Mizzes Crab hoping to be flooded with the light from the ceiling fan. Unfortunately, the gentle pressure of tugging on her was just too much and the chain snapped right out of Mizzes Crab belly :-( Much to my relief the flying chain did not snap all the way up to be snarled up in the moving ceiling fan which would have spelled complete disaster for the fan. I stood there, holding my treasured little crab in my hand, in complete disbelief that she did not want to have purpose in life of being the light pull to my ceiling fan.
She received a burial in the trash.
Interestingly, I ALSO purchased an airplane pull for my son. It arrived with a broken propeller. It lasted about 2 days of a boy pulling on his closet light to lose the chain. Because my son is so attached to the airplane, I managed to jimmy-rig it so hopefully the chain will stay properly seated in the aircraft at all time. Its only been 3 days though.

Readout shows time and temp however it is not backlit which is not a problem for me where I have it installed but could be if its in a bedroom . I control a baseboard heater with it. None of these programable products are the easiest to program but if you want it......it does it. This one is no better at that than any other. I run it on manual . Instructions say it can be run on 110V as well as 220V. Its a good unit and I would buy it again.

This bulb is the same height as an incandescent light bulb, and so should fit into all regular fixtures without sticking out. Like all dimmable CFLs, it does not dim as much as an incandescent bulb, the dimmed light is a bit harsh, and there is a slight buzz at the lowest setting. However, that is typical of dimmable CFLs. The compact size is the selling point for me.

Switch looked like a piece of junk the minute I unpacked it.
Needs a full 2" box as the wires come out the back although there's plenty of room for them to come out the sides. If you have a new home or a switch box in your range hood, make sure its large enough.
No strain relief on any wires.
Bracket a bit too large to fit flush in an electrical box. Thus, the plate sticks out. Need to trim 1/8th inch off each end.
Not a solid state switch. Its a cheap rotary.
Feels like junk with the knob wobbling the minute you touch it.
Did not work as a variable switch (new 2 amp fan installation). Only worked on/off.
You know where its made.

(More customer reviews)I have a Lopi Freedom Bay fireplace insert with blower assembly. The blower assembly typically lasts only two to three years before a motor (there are two) will get noisy and needs to be replaced. Well, Travis Industries (manufacturer of Lopi units) does not sell replacement parts. I had to do a lot of research because they spray paint the motors black thus not allowing any data to be retrieved. Well, I carefully removed the black paint and got enough of the specs to contact Fasco motors with the data. They pointed me to this motor assembly. You have to cut the plug off and connect the unit into the blower assembly wires. With just a little electrical experience you should be able to do this. You will have to replace the pop rivets to take the assembly apart and put it back together. But where I live, the blower assembly goes for over $400 and this fan was a mere $32 with shipping. Nice find and excellent product!
