(More customer reviews)I needed a ceiling fan for a detached garage and chose this one after doing a lot of research. I am glad I selected this one. It is rated for use in wet conditions. Since it was going in a garage where the humidity gets pretty high during the summer, it made sense to rely on the quality of a Hunter that can tolerate moist conditions. This model comes with plastic fan blades that look like oak and a rubber gasket that installs with the included mounting plate.
After preparing a suitable mounting area for the fan, it only took a little over an hour to install it. The directions were easy to follow and the assembly was accomplished with basic hand tools. The fan came with a balancing kit but it wasn't needed because the fan didn't wobble at all at any speed in either direction. The fan is Energy Star rated and it moves a lot of air very efficiently and quietly.
I am more than satisfied with the ease of installation, looks, and operation of this fan. It has been running non-stop since I installed it. If you need a good quality fan that can be used in a wet environment, this is the fan for you. I am so impressed that I plan to purchase another Hunter fan to replace an old fan I have in the entranceway of my house.
